We stumbled upon this restaurant on YouTube so we weren’t too sure what to expect. As foodies, we’re a tad particular. However, all 6 of us were blown away by the quality and service. The flavours were so good. Every single dish was better than what we expected. We’ll definitely return.
This is still my go to Chinese dinner restaurant. There are some dishes we always order when we are here. Their sweet and sour pork jowl and lobster sticky rice. Yummmmm. Service is good for the Chinese restaurant. The dining room can be a bit busy and noisy. But if a Chinese restaurant is too quiet with only a few people there, which you should be worried. Overall. Still a solid Chinese seafood restaurant. Keep it up.
Amazing dim sum. This is also one of those places, where I do not understand the low ratings. Food wise there is nothing you can complain about. Yes, service and vibe could be of course better (typical Asian style) but this is not what I am coming for. 蝦餃 was hot, big and fresh. This place totally deserves 5 stars
Came here with my sister on behest of Tim Lee of YouTube fame. Food didn't disappoint. Not only are the portions huuuuge but the food isn't overly salty. We also tried the king crab.. I'm not a huge crab fan but it was done well, especially the deep fried bit and the fried rice (especially the fried rice, it was dry and flavorful with very nice crab fragrance). Even the free dessert wasn't too sweet! Don't judge from the outside.. It looks ghetto and run down, but inside has been renovated nicely and clean. Recommended the garlic honey pork chops!
Our church comes here every Sunday and food always excellent for dim sum. We always order at least 10 dishes. Price is very good and average about 17 when we share the cost with group members. Waitress Mary is very attentive and friendly. Came here with friends recently and enjoyed noodles, rice rolls and congee. Huge portions enough for leftovers and another meal next day. Went again Sunday and enjoyed walnut bun dessert. Went again last week with friends and relatives and enjoyed noodles, siu mai, rice rolls, steamed buns. Brother said he would come again with friends. Came with brothers today and enjoyed spring rolls, beef balls, and vermicelli with beef and bitter melon
All of the serving staff was great today. The young slender male waiter provided exceptional service. Made sure we didn't order too much. We ordered the Peking duck 2 items, 2 bowls of white rice and Crab Meat with Fish Maw Soup. Chef's Specialty Soup Of The Day. Oops, I forgot to take a photo of it before it was served. It was super tasty and had a lot of ingredients. Sauteed Prawns & Scallops with Greens. Deep Fried Pork Chops W/Salted Plum Sauce was made perfectly! Wished it had more pieces of plum though. The peking duck was sliced into small pieces. It was to be eating with the thin crepe. Then the meat that was left on the duck was used to make the lettuce wrap which had duck meat, water chestnut, green onion and crispy wonton wrap pieces. Tasty! Dessert was green bean dessert and almond cookies.
I should come to this restaurant earlier ! It’s yummy and big size dishes and if you spend over 50 you can get a half soya chicken of 10 ! Great value and the taste over averages! It’s happy to come for the food ! But only one thing I wanna recommend the owner to get some new cover for the old chairs!
Maybe the 5 stars is an over exaggeration but also maybe not - for the price, quality and quantity of food, this place is a winner for sure. Our group of 4 came here after seeing it was always busy and the parking lot was full even on weekdays. This place is a typical Chinese banquet hall that looks like they do dim sum on weekends and feels like it could even host a small wedding - and a smaller 6 table room in a different area of the restaurant. The menu was expansive, as expected, but the dinner combos really caught our eye. We ordered the lobster combo, which came with five other dishes for a price that honestly felt like a steal of a deal. The seafood vermicelli was the real crowd-pleaser. If I had to rate the dishes, it would be the following: 1. Seafood vermicelli (very flavourful and not dry) 2. Sweet and sour pork (crispy and meaty) 3. Ground pork and eggplant (saucy and big portions) 4. Beef and Gailan (a staple and really good - I've been to places where the gailan is bitter and chewy because they kept the ends on - this place cut it off at the right spots and the dish was good) 5. Lobster with sticky rice (This one is a personal preference but I like fluffy rice and more of a crab person) 6. Soy glazed chicken (This one is the bottom on my list but in no way a bad choice, I just liked the others above this) Service was smooth. One of our group spoke Cantonese, but the staff's English was spot-on, so no translation needed. They kept things moving and didn't miss a beat. The meal kicked off with a soup and wrapped up with a dessert--both not in the pictures but both very appreciated. With places like this - with such an expansive menu, I feel like its hard to go wrong, but there are some key winners that would change some people's opinions from a 3- or 4- star review to a 5, so definitely check out the ones I listed above!
